Course Aim

The aim of this four day course is to provide a comprehensive overview of all aspects of wiring regulations. This qualification is aimed at those who have not previously completed a wiring regulations training course or gained the qualification prior to 2015.

Course Duration

3 days (incl exam). City & Guilds exam 2382-18 will be taken on the final day.

Target Group

Electrical crafts person’s who require a qualification to the current 18th Edition IEE regulations.

Qualification Gained

City and Guilds 18th Edition IEE Regulations Certificate.

By the end of the course the participants will:

  • Understand the scope, object and fundamental principles of BS7671
  • Understand the definitions used within BS7671
  • Understand how to assess the general characteristics of electrical Installations
  • Understand requirements of protection for safety for electrical installations
  • Understand the requirements for selection and erection of equipment for electrical installations
  • Understand the requirements of Inspection and testing of electrical installations, including the use of PAT equipment.
  • Understand the requirements of Special installations or locations as identified in BS.
  • Understand the requirements for selection and erection of equipment for electrical installations.
  • Understand the legal status and association with statutory documents
